  4. This document includes information about HiJaak PRO that was not available at the time
  5. the HiJaak PRO User Guide was printed. You will find information on compatibility 
  6. with previous versions, undocumented features, and known bugs in this release.

  10. Installing to Removable Media
  11. ====================================
  12. We highly recommend that you do not attempt to install HiJaak PRO to any removable
  13. media. Testing has shown that HiJaak PRO will perform unpredictably when installed
  14. to removable media.

  18. Compatibility with Previous Versions
  19. ====================================
  20. HiJaak Graphics Suite 3.0
  21. -------------------------
  22. HiJaak Graphics Suite 3.0 was designed to run under Windows 3.1; HiJaak PRO is 
  23. designed to run under Windows 95. Due to these design differences, these programs
  24. are not compatible. We recommend that you uninstall HiJaak Graphics Suite 3.0 
  25. before installing HiJaak PRO, or at least install HiJaak PRO in a different 
  26. directory.

  28. If you need the image editing applications included with HiJaak Graphics Suite 3.0 and
  29. don't want to uninstall it, but do want to upgrade to Windows 95, consider purchasing
  30. HiJaak Graphics Suite 95. Call Customer Service at 1-800-683-6866 for information
  31. on the available HiJaak products.

  33. HiJaak 95
  34. ---------
  35. HiJaak 95 is a subset of HiJaak PRO. If you are currently running HiJaak 95, we 
  36. recommend that you uninstall HiJaak 95 before you install HiJaak PRO. You will not 
  37. lose any functionality, but you will gain product stability.

  39. HiJaak Graphics Suite 95
  40. ------------------------
  41. If you are currently running HiJaak Graphics Suite 95, we recommend that you install
  42. HiJaak PRO in a different directory from HiJaak Graphics Suite 95. HiJaak PRO will
  43. take over the former functions on HiJaak 95, including convert, view, trace, catalogs,
  44. thumbnails and shell extensions.

  46. To switch between HiJaak Graphics Suite 95 and HiJaak PRO, run their respective setup
  47. programs. If you run HiJaak PRO Setup, HiJaak Graphics Suite 95 may not function
  48. properly. If you run HiJaak Graphics Suite 95 Setup, HiJaak PRO may not function 
  49. properly.

  54. Undocumented Features
  55. =====================
  56. After the HiJaak PRO User Guide was printed, the following features were added to 
  57. HiJaak PRO to increase stability and usability. They are described here and in the 
  58. HiJaak PRO online help.

  60. HiJaak Catalog Setup
  61. --------------------
  62. 1) You can access any page in the HiJaak Catalog Setup by clicking the secondary 
  63. mouse button on the shell center icon in the task tray (traffic light) and selecting
  64. the page you want from the pop-up menu.

  66. 2) You can disable all shell extensions, including thumbnails, catalogs, shortcut 
  67. menu items and HiJaak Catalog Find by deselecting the Enable HiJaak Shell Extensions
  68. check box in the Setup tab of HiJaak Catalog Setup.

  72. Known Bugs
  73. ==========
  74. The following is a list of known bugs in HiJaak PRO. Fixes will be made available
  75. shortly. Call Quarterdeck Customer Service 1-800-683-6866 for more information.

  77. 1) The 3D Perspective option has no effect on the image.
  78.  
  79. 2) HiJaak thumbnails do not display in Small Icon or Details mode. (no fix is planned)
